This is a solid wood cutting board made from beautiful dark walnut. We create these boards from one solid piece of one inch thick wood - no joints or glue. This cutting board is food safe, petroleum free and non-toxic.

Each board is made from the highest quality, hand-picked hardwood. Our wood chopping boards are crafted with a juice groove to catch messes while you are cutting. If you want your board without a juice groove, simply include that request in your order. Each board is made to order.

Dimensions - 20" X 12" X 1" or 16" X 12" X 1" or 12" X 8" X 1"

Our cutting boards are handmade in our small woodshop in Dickinson, Texas. Attention to detail is our specialty, from purchasing the highest quality wood products to shaping the boards and creating a seamless finish. Please pay attention to the estimated shipping/delivery dates. These are accurate and reflect both the time spent making your individual board and the volume of orders that we are currently experiencing.

Each board is soaked in 100% fractionated coconut MCT oil (pretroleum free, non GMO, certified Kosher) and waxed with our signature conditioning balm, "Axel's Board Conditioner", which is made with natural Texas beeswax and fractionated coconut oil.

Our cutting boards are naturally resistant to bacterial growth when properly maintained and are safe for food preparation. Some wear and knife marks are expected with use, but can be minimized with regular maintenance. Axel's Board Conditioner is available in our store and is and easy and safe way to preserve your board.

****Please let us know in the order note if you have any special requests! We frequently have customers request that the board be made without a juice groove, or unfinished if you wish to use your own oil on the board!****

The option to "Add Board Conditioner" or "No Board Conditioner" is in regards to adding an additional tin of board conditioner to your order for the maintenance of your board. If you would like for your board to be unfinished, please include this request in the "note to seller" section.

These boards are beautiful. I did a bunch of research trying to figure exactly what wood type of cutting board I wanted. I found this seller and ordered a smaller one to try first. I wasn't sure if I'd like the maintenance of a wood cutting board, but was so tired of the cheap flexi style mats. I loved the smaller one so much my husband bought me two large ones for Christmas. I just make sure I dry it well, and keep it oiled.

I wish I'd bought a larger size! It's an excellent cutting board. The plus is I no longer cringe from my old glued up boards.
